Agenda Item Summary:
The applicant has submitted a Rezoning request to change the zoning designation from General Agricultural District to General Commercial District for a parcel of land approximately 0.46 acres in size. The applicant has also submitted a Preliminary Subdivision Plan to subdivide the subject property creating one lot. The applicant has identified that the property is intended to be developed with a Dollar General store. In July of 2019, a Rezoning request and a Preliminary Subdivision Plan were approved for a smaller area. The applicant has indicated that the proposed store will require a larger area and have submitted the new Rezoning request and Preliminary Subdivision Plan. The property is located northeast of the intersection of Haines Avenue and Kathryn Avenue. Currently, the property is void of structural development.
