The applicant has submitted a Major Amendment to a Planned Development Overlay to allow an over-sized garage. Specifically, the applicant is proposing to construct a 2,368 square foot, two-story detached accessory structure on the property located at 2101 Huntington place. Currently, a 6,000 square-foot single family residence and an 800 square-foot attached garage are located on the property. The applicant’s site plan identifies the construction of a 2,368 square foot detached structure located southeast of the existing residence. The applicant is requesting this Major Amendment to the Planned Development Overlay to allow a total accumulative accessory square footage of 3,168 square feet and to allow an accessory structure with a height of 29 feet in lieu of the maximum height of 15 feet allowed. The proposed garage will be utilized for vehicle and boat storage on the main level and a storage and shop area on the upper floor.
