Agenda Item Summary:
The applicant has submitted a Final Planned Development Overlay to construct an over-sized detached garage measuring 1,344 square feet in size. There is an existing attached garage measuring 805 square feet in size. The proposed detached garage will exceed the maximum allowed 1,500-square feet of garage and accessory structures by 649 square feet. The applicant has stated that the garages will not be used for commercial purposes or as a second residence. The applicant has also submitted elevations identifying that the dwelling and garage will be constructed of the similar materials. The applicant is requesting two Exceptions. The first Exception is to allow a height of 16 feet 8 inches in lieu of the maximum allowed height of 15 feet. The second Exception is to waive the requirement to pave the first 50 feet of the driveway.
