Agenda Item Summary:
The applicant has submitted a Major Amendment to a Planned Development Overlay to revise the previously approved athletic training facility. In particular, the applicant is proposing to construct a 28,350 square foot facility including a gymnasium and office areas for physical training, wellness, sports medicine, and rehab/injury prevention. The applicant is also proposing to construct Phase II of the proposed development which includes an additional gymnasium measuring 6,400 square feet in size and additional parking. An Exception was previously granted to waive the requirement to provide three landscape parking islands. The applicant is proposing to construct one landscape parking island with Phase II. The applicant is not requesting any additional Exceptions.
