Agenda Item Summary:
The applicant has submitted a Rezoning request to change the zoning designation from Light Industrial District to General Commercial District for a parcel of land approximately 29.92 acres in size. The Future Land Use Plan identifies the appropriate use of the property as Mixed-Use Commercial and Light Industrial. Rezoning the property to General Commercial District is in compliance with the City’s adopted Comprehensive Plan. The applicant has also submitted a Planned Development Revocation application (File #17PD056) that includes the subject property and property to the east. The property is located southeast of the intersection of East Mall Drive and Dyess Avenue. Currently, the property is void of structural development.
