Agenda Item Summary:
The applicant has submitted a request to construct offices and warehousing on approximately 1.88 acres of property zoned Heavy Industrial District. Kilowatt Electric, an electrical contracting service, is proposing to locate on the undeveloped property. The proposed office and warehousing total 9,216 square feet of space. Additional outdoor storage and parking is also being proposed as a part of this development. No Exceptions are being requested as a part of this request. However, the property is located within a previously approved Planned Development Designation (File #07PD084), requiring that a Final Planned Development be approved for the project prior to issuance of a building permit. Office and warehousing for an industrial use such as an electrical contractor are an otherwise permitted use in the Heavy Industrial District.
