Agenda Item Summary:
The applicant is proposing to develop a multifamily housing complex comprised of a total of 72 units in four structures and to be developed over a total of three phases over the next five years. A small community clubhouse is also proposed as a part of the third phase of development. The proposed multifamily housing will be located within a gated community on approximately 4.17 acres zoned Medium Density Residential District and Office Commercial District. Multifamily housing is a permitted use in the Medium Density and Office Commercial Districts. However, multifamily housing located in multiple structures requires a Planned Development. In addition, the property is located within a Planned Development Designation, requiring that any development of the property obtain approval through a Final Planned Development prior to issuance of a building permit. The applicant is requesting one Exception to allow a maximum 7-foot-tall fence within the front yard setback.
