Agenda Item Summary:
The Planning Commission has directed Long Range Planning Staff to bring forth a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to amend the Major Street Plan in various areas in and around Rapid City. The locations of the proposed changes to the Major Street Plan are: SD Hwy 79/Basin Intertie Access Rd; Nameless Cave Rd; Sydney Dr/E Oakland St; Airport Water Main Alignment; and Dyess Ave Industrial Park. This item is back before the City Council to allow the publication requirements to be met. This item is back for Summary following Council approval. Section 11-6-18.2 SDCL requires that a summary of the action of the City Council on a Comprehensive Plan Amendment shall be prepared by the City Planning Commission, reviewed by the City Attorney, published once in the official newspaper, and take effect on the twentieth day after publication.
