Why important for the city: Funds will be used expand the RCPD’s traffic enforcement. The Highway Safety Grant funds will be utilized to set up a 2 officer proactive traffic division that would be utilized to work with sectors Lt’s to respond to citizen concerns and conduct traffic safety saturations at locations such as school zones.
