Agenda Item Summary:
Rapid City Fire Department is requesting to accept the HMEP (Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness) Grant in the amount of $37,761.25. This grant will fund attendance at the Regional Hazmat Conference, RAE Certified Technician Program, the purchase of a training prop, and attendance for to a Hazardous Transportation Specialist Training Course. A 20% match is required of $7,552.25 which will be covered through participant’s wages and budgeted for in the Hazmat training budget.
