Agenda Item Summary:
The Rapid City Regional Airport has requested a grant from the State of South Dakota Governor’s Office On Economic Development (GOED) for use for Air Service Development. We are requesting a total of $182,621 in SB162 funding to be utilized for an air service incentive for a new air service route in Rapid City to Los Angeles. The SB162 funding is $132,000, combined with Airport fee waivers in the amount of $25,671 and marketing support in the amount of $25,000 over one year, for a total of $182,621.
We are requesting the City Council authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement between the City of Rapid City and the Governor’s Office On Economic Development (GOED).
