Agenda Item Summary:
The Rapid City Regional Airport has requested a grant from the State of South Dakota Governor’s Office On Economic Development (GOED) for use for Air Service Development. We are requesting $624,000 in SB162 funding to be utilized for an air service incentive for a new air service route in Rapid City. Along with the SB162 funding, the Airport will be offering fee waivers in the amount of $90,552 and marketing support in the amount of $50,000 over two years.
We are requesting the City Council authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement between the City of Rapid City and the Governor’s Office On Economic Development (GOED).
