Agenda Item Summary:
Seeking continuation of previously contracted services related to Rapid City’s Police and Fire Department Co-Response efforts.
On September 6, 2022, Council approved allocation of $360,000 in the 2023 Budget Resolution 6550 towards Journey On! Co-Responder efforts. The 2024 General Funds $300,000 allocation is a continuation of the Co-Responder effort.
On August 7, 2023, Council approved adding contract services for Journey On to provide support to local at-risk youth through Safe Passage and High Risk Interventions Programs using the Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative Grant in the amount of $972,450.00 over a 3-year period to be renewed annually.
