Agenda Item Summary:
City Attorney’s Office periodically discovers errors in the Municipal Code and has compiled those errors over the last year or so. Additionally, our Code publisher pointed out some additional errors. None of these changes are substantive; they are all fixing typos, correcting citations to incorrect Sections, and/or updating outdated language relating to persons with disabilities.
1. Section 1.08.040(D) – adds two commas. One in the third from last line and one in the second from last line.
2. Section 1.08.040(E) – adds one comma in the last line.
3. Section 1.08.050 – changes “that” to “the” to be grammatically correct.
4. Section 2.20.030 – removes dollar amounts and refers to fee resolution for consistency.
5. Section 2.47.040 – changes “acts” to “act” to be grammatically correct.
6. Section 5.12.010 – changes “served” to “serves” to be grammatically correct.
7. Section 8.46.120 – changes a code reference to refer to correct code section.
8. Section 8.50.050 – changes a code reference to refer to correct code section.
9. Section 10.12.300 – changes “given” to “give” to be grammatically correct.
10. Section 10.40.090 – updates outdated language regarding persons with disabilities.
11. Section 10.40.100 – updates outdated language regarding persons with disabilities.
12. Section 12.12.040 – updates outdated language regarding persons with disabilities.
13. Section 12.24.050 – updates outdated language regarding persons with disabilities.
14. Section 13.40.010 – changes “chapter” to “title” in reference to code.
15. Section 13.08.310 – changes a code reference to refer to correct code section.
16. Section 13.08.400 – updates numbering for accuracy; changes the second “2” to “3.”
17. Section 13.16.390 – adds letter “A” at the beginning of first paragraph.
18. Section 16.04.100 – removes redundant language and refers to state statute.
