Agenda Item Summary:
The amendment to the agreement referred to operational level Fire Department employees, but excludes numerous employees by specific job and title. It was determined due to the list of excluded non-operational level Fire Department positions each time a new non-operational position was added the list would need to be updated. This amendment to the agreement will more clearly define operational level employees and amend Section 1.01, of the current contract to include all operational level employees in the bargaining unit and to remove the other job titles excluded from the bargaining unit.
