Agenda Item Summary:
This request for application and acceptance of continuation of funding which supports the Veteran’s Fuels Mitigation Crew. This funding is part of the Bureau of Land Management’s Community Assistance program, which the Rapid City Fire Department has been a recipient of funding since the program’s inception and partnership with BLM in 2013. This continuation of funding provides for a minimum of $125,000 for 2022, and an equal or greater amount in the subsequent four years for a total of up to $1,000,000. (Supports the Veteran’s Fuels Crew under the wildfire mitigation program of the Fire and Life Safety Division.)
