Agenda Item Summary:
At the May 10th Youth City Council (YCC) meeting, the Unity/Equity committee brought forward a proposal to have a table at the Pride in the Park event on July 10th, 2022. The YCC unanimously voted in favor of having at table at the event with an expenditure request of $150.
There are many members of the LGBTQ + community in Rapid that are also youth. It is vital as the Youth City Council that we represent all youth. The opportunity to have a table at the pride event here in Rapid would create good connections, education and outreach to those who might not be aware of the Youth City Council (YCC). We are requesting up to $150 in support of a table that will be held at the pride event in the park on July 9, 2022. The money will be used to stock the table with handouts and other items of interest. Thank you!
