Agenda Item Summary:
The Council can approve of the consumption, but not sale, of alcohol on City property, when the setting is a meeting that is closed (i.e. not open to the public) and is by invitation only. In the absence of such consent, alcohol consumption is subject to open container laws, including RCMC 5.12.080. The proposed alcohol consumption would involve a closed meeting of the Rotary Club at the Minneluzahan Senior Citizens Center.
