Agenda Item Summary:
The Rapid City Police Department is requesting City Council’s authorization to apply for and accept the 2022 South Dakota Department of Public Safety Victims of Crime (VOCA) Grant. The grant requires no funding match from the City. The 2023 VOCA grant funding projection is $71,366, which will allow the RCPD to continue support for both our Quality of Life unit with a part-time outreach specialist and our Youth Outreach Team with a Youth and Family Navigator.
