Agenda Item Summary:
In follow up to the Human Relations Commission Task Force recommendations presented to Council on August 17, 2020, Mayor Allender is seeking authorization to create a public-private partnership with Mniluzahan Okolakiciyapi Ambassadors (MOA) to rebuild the former Human Relations Commission (HRC). Authorization of this partnership would allow for the City to hire an Executive Director to oversee the work of the revamped HRC and MOA in alignment with the recommendations brought forth by the task force. This FTE would fall under the City Attorney’s Office and report to the City, MOA, and the Human Relations Commissioners.
