Agenda Item Summary:
The city was forced to add a short term emergency network connection with Midco due to a cut in a fiber optic line during the East Boulevard construction project. This will cost approximately $550 a month for no more than 2 months. This item is before council due to the aggregate cost of all contracts with Midco exceeding the applicable limit. The service order was signed using the emergency exception in 3.04.090 Contracting Authority Delegated to Department Directors.
