The Rapid City Fire Department is requesting permission to apply for and accept a $676,000 grant offered by FEMA as part of their Wildland Pre-Disaster Hazard Mitigation grant program. This grant would provide dollars necessary to remove highly combustible roofing, siding, and decking materials on participating homeowner properties located in the primary Wildland Urban Interface Hazard Zone of Rapid City.
