Agenda Item Summary:
City ordinance allows for a temporary campground when it is in conjunction with a special event designated by resolution of the Common Council. Journey Church wishes to construct a church building by using visiting members from its National Church Charter Organization and by housing these volunteers at a temporary RV campground on the property. Staff have worked with Journey Church to address utility concerns and to ensure that the proposed campground will be temporary, appropriate to the commercially-zoned property, and in compliance with all City ordinances. This resolution would recognize the construction of Journey Church as a special event and would authorize the temporary campground from May 1 to November 1, 2018.
