Agenda Item Summary:
This ordinance adds additional enumerated nuisances in order to protect the City’s easements and protect the comfort, repose, health, and safety of others and their property. It also modifies the notice provisions and appeal process applicable to nuisances. This ordinance allows the City to set a higher administrative cost for a third or subsequent abatement in one calendar year in order for the City to more completely recover its administrative costs involved in the abatement of nuisances. Finally, this ordinance clarifies and updates some of the provisions in the ordinances relating to nuisances.
