Agenda Item Summary:
In 2008, Doyle Estes and Kathryn Johnson executed a warranty deed for property off of Elk Vale Road to be developed as a soccer complex. The deed included a reversionary clause that required the City to develop and use the land for recreational purposes by June 2013, or it would revert back to the Grantors. That deadline was later extended to January 2016 by agreement of City and the Grantors. This resolution recognizes that the City and its partners have developed the land for recreational use as a soccer complex and, therefore, have fulfilled the terms of the warranty deed. The resolution also accepts the quitclaim deed from Grantors of any reversionary rights.
