Agenda Item Summary:
On June 6, 2016, Council approved a change to the City’s Non-union Guide that allowed new non-union non-exempt employees to receive holiday pay in their first 90 days of employment. At that time, the City Attorney’s Office told Council that we would amend the relevant union contracts to make a comparable change. The unions affected are the FOP, AFSCME, and AFSME Library. This MOU makes the change for the 2014-2017 AFSCME contract, retroactively to June 6, 2016.
