Agenda Item Summary:
Staff is requesting authorization for the Mayor and Finance Officer to sign the State of South Dakota Agreement/Letter of Agreement with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources for the for the Air Quality Program. The one-year contract requires the City to administer the Air Quality Program. Seventy percent of the expenses for the program are reimbursed by federal funds. The reimbursement is passed through the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in an amount not to exceed $60,000. The Rapid City Area Air Quality Board will review the State of South Dakota Agreement/Letter of Agreement at the Air Quality Board Meeting on September 11, 2016.
