Agenda Item Summary:
The City of Rapid City (City) had previously determined the need to procure services for a Collection and Disposal of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) One-day event for Rapid City Solid Waste Customers. Veolia ES / Technical Solutions, LLC (Contractor) was selected to provide these services through a competitive sealed proposal process. The contract allows the City to renew the contract for the years 2021 and 2023.
The 2019 Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) event was very successful and provided a much appreciated service for Rapid City Solid Waste Customers. The Contractor performed the services professionally and provided services of value. Staff recommends exercising the renewal clause in the contract to provide a HHW one-day event on October 16, 2021 in the amount of $70,452.28.
