Agenda Item Summary:
I.T. is in the early stages of looking for a new City Wide VOIP phone system. In order to test various options, we are requesting SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) from Midco to allow us to test various vendors. These lines will only be used during testing.
This does not change any of the service agreements in place with Midco but as the total amount of the Midco contracts with the city is above the threshold, this expenditure must be brought before Council. This will be funded out of the I.T. Department’s operating budget.
The total cost of the lines will be $243.53 per month plus a one-time installation fee of $150.
