The Rapid City Fire and Police Departments are requesting City Council’s authorization to apply for and accept the Bureau of Justice Fiscal 2022 Connect and Protect Behavioral Health Response grant (BJA FY 22). The grant requires a 20% match in year one and 2 followed by a 40% match in year 3. The funding will be utilized to develop and implement a plan to utilize multiple agencies respond to mental and behavioral health crisis incidents.
