Agenda Item Summary:
For more than a year, City staff have been working with the Trenching Board to update two documents: (1) Rapid City Municipal Code Chapter 13.24, which governs Trenching Contractor's Licenses and the Trenching Board, and (2) the Operating Manual for Rapid City Trenching Board.
All licensed contractors were notified of the changes by mail, news release, and publication. A meeting was held on May 20 to allow contractors to comment on proposed changes. Comments received were positive in support of the changes.
