Agenda Item Summary:
The City’s approach to parking lots and systems is not efficient or sustainable in its current form. There are three different departments that have various roles in parking lot and system management, causing inefficiencies and great expense to the general fund. Creating a position that will streamline the operations and relieve the general fund as the entire operation will be funded by the Parking Lot and Area fund, which receives its revenue from parking leases, meter fees and fines.
