Agenda Item Summary:
A request was received in the Engineering Office requesting the requirement to install sidewalk along Fox Road and Mount Rushmore Road per City of Rapid City Ordinance 12.08.060 be waived. Sidewalk is required to be constructed along both Fox Road and Mount Rushmore Road. While staff doesn’t agree with most of the justification provided by KTM in the letter, it does support the variance since there’s no sidewalk in the area and much of the area has been developed without sidewalk.
