Agenda Item Summary:
The mayor respectfully requests approval to hire Malcom Chapman at a NU21 Step 20 ($76,151.13 annually) for the newly created HRC/MOA Coordinator position. The mayor is currently authorized to hire new employees up to a Step 7 ($64,794.66 annually) on the wage scale. Considering Mr. Chapman’s extensive resume and local experience, we believe a Step 20 is more in line with his skillset.
