Agenda Item Summary:
This amendment is for AE2S to provide additional professional services for design not contemplated in the original agreement including revising a portion of the project alignment, design to address a drainage issue within the project limits, and revising the project schedule with a new contract completion date of June 1, 2021. In total, the project includes new force main and gravity sewer main to be constructed along Elk Vale Road from Seger Drive to Homestead Street, approximately 2.5 miles in length, to accommodate flows from the Elk Vale Lift Station. This project is needed to meet the near term expected sewer demands from the upstream service area. The Elk Vale Lift Station was upgraded in 2013. This project will allow for the full capacity of the lift station to be used. This project is a high priority of the Utility Maintenance Department due to the limitations of the existing force main and gravity sewer main.
