Agenda Item Summary:
Reconstruction of St. Patrick St. from West Boulevard to Mt. Rushmore Rd. Project includes water main replacement, widening of St. Patrick St., new surfacing, new curb and gutter, and ADA upgrades. Project completion date is November 19th, 2021. The Public Works Director has authorized a reduction of the work performed by the contractor to be not less than thirty-five (35) percent of the original contract price instead of the standard fifty (50) percent, as required by Paragraph 7.40 of Section 7 – General Conditions of the City of Rapid City Standard Specifications. City staff determined it would be in the best interest of the City to allow the opportunity for additional bidders on this project.
