Agenda Item Summary:
The recommendation for bid award, for Odor control chemical for the Water Reclamation Division lift stations. Low bidder Hawkins Inc, had one minor exception to the bid specification related to freezing point of the chemical. The bid specification lists -20 degrees C and the Hawkins product freezing point is 16.6 degrees C. Staff does not believe that this will impact operations due to the storage provisions we have made for chemical storage. The estimated gallons for the year are 7,500 for a total estimated cost of $21,225.00. The amount is budgeted.
