Number of Youth Using RapidRide Continues to Rise

February rate moves above 600 youth passenger trips per day

 

RAPID CITY--The number and percentage of youth using the RapidRide System continues to increase with February daily numbers setting new records.

                For February's 18 service days, there were 10,907 youth passenger trips on RapidRide, or an average of 606 youth passenger trips per day.  The increase is 8.21% higher than January's 10,643 youth passenger trips, or 560 passenger trips per day.   In September, when youth could begin taking RapidRide free of charge, there were 379 passenger trips per day. 

                The percentage of RapidRide's users that are youth increased to 37.13 percent in February and has continually increased since September.
