FUTURE LAND USE PLAN FOR THE
AIRPORT NEIGHBORHOOD AREA


Project Description

The purpose of the plan will be to provide the community with sound guidance on which to base their land use decisions. The study area includes land within the corporate city limits, the three-mile platting jurisdiction and the MPO planning jurisdiction. The Future Land Use Planning area is divided into fourteen neighborhoods. The City has completed the Future Land Use Plan Overview as well as five of the fourteen neighborhood areas. This plan is for one additional area, with the potential to complete the remaining areas. The Airport Neighborhood Area Future Land Use Plan boundary encompasses 24,768 acres and is located in the eastern portion of the Metropolitan Planning Organization boundary.

This contract was awarded to the consulting firm of Ferber Engineering Company, Inc.
