Air
Quality Division
The
Air Quality Division works to achieve and maintain the PM10 and PM2.5
National Ambient Air Quality Standards by controlling fugitive emissions,
open burning and wood burning so as to protect the health and welfare
of all the people who inhabit the city and the air quality zone; to
limit environmental damage to plant and animal life within the county;
and to promote commercial and industrial development while limiting
environmental degradation; and to educate the residents of the city
on air quality issues. This is achieved and maintained through the
development and implementation of programs of education, air pollution
prevention, abatement and control. The Air Quality Division provides
