Rapid City's Skateboard Park is located in the 200 Block of New York Street. Construction on the skate park began in 2001 and it opened to the public in 2002. Funding in the amount of $180,000 from the Vision 2012 Fund was used to construct the park.
Park Hours
The Skate Park is open every day from 7:00 AM until dusk.
Features of the Skate Park
The park contains approximately 5,000 square feet of skatable surface, including elements such as railings, stairs, a bowl area and several ramps. There are also several stand-alone rail and wall elements available for skaters to use.
We recommend that helmets and elbow and knee pads be worn by everyone who uses the park, regardless of age and skill level.
