Memorial Park Rose Gardens

Memorial Park was constructed after the June 1972 Flood that devastated Rapid City. The park was built in memory of the 238 victims of that tragedy. The rose gardens are located on the west side of Memorial Park next to the Civic Center and are South Dakota's only All American Rose Selection Garden. This AARS Garden has over 120 different varieties of Hybrid Teas, Grandifloras and Floribunda Roses, totaling more than 1,200 roses.
