Public Meetings

The Rapid City Department of Parks and Recreation will hold public meetings on the following dates to gather input on possible projects to be funded from the $1.7 million in greenway funding available to the City from the Federal Highway Administration. This funding has been earmarked by the federal government for greenway pedestrian and bike path expansion projects and all projects will require approval from the Federal Highway Administration.

Use of these funds is limited to projects that deal with transportation issues such as commuter trails, bike routes, bike lanes and associated uses such as parking lots, trail heads, restroom facilities, etc.
