006 International Mechanical Code and 2006 International Fuel Gas Code Amendments become effective May 16, 2008

Adopting the most current editions of the International Mechanical Code (IMC) and the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) is beneficial to Rapid City by helping maintain favorable Insurance Services Office (ISO) ratings.

On April 21, 2008, the Rapid City City Council approved amendments to the Rapid City Municipal Code adopting the following building codes:

2006 International Mechanical Code
2006 International Fuel Gas Code with amendments

The ordinances adopting the 2006 International Mechanical Code and the 2006 International Fuel Gas Code will become effective May 16, 2008. The currently adopted versions of the 2003 IMC and 2003 IFGC will remain in effect until that time.
