9th Street from the Intersection of Kansas City Street to Quincy Street

  • Effective Monday, February 15, 2016, 9th Street from the intersection of Kansas City Street to Quincy Street will be closed to through traffic to install a new storm sewer.  Detour routes will be posted.

    This work is expected to be completed in 6 weeks.

Dyess Avenue from Seger Drive to East Mall Drive

  • Effective Monday, February 15, 2016, Dyess Avenue from Seger Drive to East Mall Drive will be closed for the street and utility construction work.

    Please use alternate routes of travel.

    The entire project is expected to be completed by December 31, 2016.

East Saint Patrick Street from Creek Drive to Sedivy Lane

  • Effective Monday, February 15, 2016, traffic will be reduced to one lane, each direction, on East Saint Patrick Street from Creek Drive to Sedivy Lane for overhead power line work.  Flaggers will be provided on an intermittent basis during periods of overhead line installations.  Drivers should consider an alternate route as delays will be expected. In future weeks, traffic on SD. Highway 44 East, will also be affected.

Neva Way at 143rd Avenue

  • Effective Monday, February 15, 2016, Neva Way at 143rd Avenue will be closed to traffic for utility work.

    A temporary approach will be constructed to the north of Neva Way for access to the subdivision.

    This work is expected to be completed by February 19, 2016.

Dyess Avenue from Seger Drive to Dane Lane

  • Effective Thursday, February 8, 2016, Dyess Avenue from Seger Drive to Dane Lane will be closed for the first phase of utility work, street reconstruction and drainage improvements.

    Alternate access routes will be provided for all affected businesses.

    As work progresses southward toward East Mall Drive, additional portions of Dyess Avenue will be closed.

    The entire project is expected to be completed by December 31, 2016.

Westbound Quincy Street from Seventh Street to Mount Rushmore Road

  • Effective Monday, February 8, 2016, there will be traffic restrictions on westbound Quincy Street from Seventh Street to Mount Rushmore Road. There will also be limited parking allowed on the north side of this street.

    This work is expected to be completed February 24, 2016.

  • Effective Monday, February 1, 2016, a portion of Outlook Circle will be closed to through traffic for installation of a storm sewer line.

    This work is expected to be completed by February 25, 2016.

Intersection of Haines Avenue and Disk Drive and
Disk Drive East of Haines Avenue

  • Effective immediately, traffic at the intersection of Haines Avenue and Disk Drive will be restricted due to an emergency water main repair. Haines Avenue will be restricted to one lane in each direction and Disk Drive will be closed to traffic east of Haines Avenue.

    The detour route for Disk Drive is Maple Avenue to Anamosa Street to Haines Avenue.

    This work is expected to be completed by Wednesday February 3, 2016.

143rd Avenue between Country Road and Seger Drive

  • Effective immediately, the southbound lane of 143rd Avenue traffic will be detoured at varying locations between Country Road and East Seger Drive for daytime utility work with the use of flaggers.

    Delays will occur.

    Alternate routes should be considered.

    Two-way traffic will be returned each night after work is completed for the day.

    This work is expected to be completed by February 24, 2016

9th Street from Columbus Street South through the Intersection of Fulton Street

  • Effective Monday, October 26, 2015, 9th Street will be closed to traffic from Columbus Street south through the intersection of 9th Street and Fulton Street for utility construction work. South Street and Fulton Street will be closed to through traffic west of Mount Rushmore Road at 9th Street.

    Detour routes will be marked for vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

    The completion of this work for Phase 1 will be December 22, 2015.

    Additional phases will take place after this date.

    Overall project completion is October 14, 2016.

Birch Avenue between East Meade Street and East Tallent Street

  • Effective Monday, October 5, 2015, Birch Avenue between East Meade Street and East Tallent Street will be closed to traffic for construction work on the Meade Drainage Channel.

    This work is expected to be completed by December 18, 2015.

  • Effective Monday, July 13, 2015, Saint Charles Street from 5th Street to 6th Street, the Alley between 5th Street and 6th Street from Saint Charles Street to Saint Andrew Street and 6th Street from Saint Charles Street to Saint Andrew Street will be closed to traffic from for utility and street reconstruction work.

    Detour routes will be marked.

    This work is expected to be completed by February 29, 2016.
