Sector Policing

For patrol purposes, Rapid City police officers split the city into several sectors. Patrol officers are assigned to each sector, in an effort to build positive relationships with the citizens of that sector.

The Field Services Division includes three Sector Lieutenants; each oversees certain sectors. Community members with non-emergency questions or concerns are encouraged to contact their Sector Lieutenant.
