The Rapid City Honor Guard formed in 1998 with a handful of officers for one special  detail.  They have since grown to an experienced team that performs several details each year.  They post and retire the National and State colors at many different functions in Rapid City and the Black Hills, and have served on burial details for law enforcement officers and politicians.
