Parks and Recreation Needs Assessment Survey

The Rapid City Department of Parks and Recreation is in the process of updating our Comprehensive Plan which is a compilation of suggestions for wants, needs and desires from citizens. The Plan also provides direction for the Department for the next 5 years. The information gathered from this survey will be used to determine priorities for parks and recreation activities as well as capital improvements throughout the community.

The online survey was tailor-made to solicit information about our parks, open spaces, and recreation programs and facilities. We are asking Rapid City residents to provide us with as much information as possible. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Without your input and time in filling out the survey, we cannot hope to receive accurate results.
