Parks and Recreation Advisory Board

Regular meetings of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board are held on the second Thursday of each month, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The meetings are held in the conference room in the Parks Division Maintenance Facility located at 2915 Canyon Lake Drive.
 
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board was created by passage of Ordinance 3956 by the Rapid City Common Council on July 26, 2003 and amended by Ordinance 5500 which was approved on April 6, 2009. The Board consists of seven members each of whom must be a registered voter of the City of Rapid City. Members are appointed by the City Council for three year terms. If you are interested in serving on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, fill out a Citizen Interest Application and submit it to the Mayor's Office in the City/School Administration Center, 300 6th Street.
