Rapid City Public Library 2014 Summer Reading Programs for Kids, Teen and Adults

All Teen Summer Reading activities are open to participants between the ages of 12-17.
Those ages 18 and up are encouraged to participate in the Adult Summer Reading Program.

This summer, reading = prizes for teens! Teens earn one entry in the end of the summer prize drawing for every 250 pages read. Participants must submit one entry form every time he/she reads 250 pages of any book or combination of books. Entry forms can be turned in at any of our three locations in exchange for a series of small prizes and one grand prize entry. Teens can earn a total of eight entries in the end of the summer prize drawing by reading 1,250 pages and completing all three activities. Pick up Teen Reading Logs at any RCPL location or download them below.

Earn one entry in the Teen Summer Reading drawing by reading for an hour at the Downtown library from June 1-July 31, 2014. Teens must check in at the Youth Services desk at the Downtown library when they arrive, read at the library for one hour, and check out with the librarian at the Youth Services desk after an hour to earn completion credit. Participants must complete the entire hour at one time and the last day to do so is August 25. Teens may only complete this activity one time to earn a summer reading drawing entry.
